Check out the Top Four Finalists for the Free Roof Giveaway!
McKinnis received 18 nominations for those in need of a new roof in the Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding areas! It was a very tough decision to narrow it down to four, however all of these people are very deserving of a new roof! Please vote for one of the finalists – they would greatly appreciate it!
Compassion for Rhonda
Located in Omaha, NE (Nomination put in by her Sister)
Rhonda is a single 63 year old with early signs of dementia. She is currently unemployed and is temporarily collecting unemployment and receives Social Security. She lives in her small home and it is in need of a lot of work. I go over once a week and help her with her mail and take her to the store as she no longer drives. She desperately needs help. She can barely pay her bills. Getting a new roof would mean so much to her, please vote! Click on the photo to vote!
Desperate Need – Wanda & Randy
Located in Malmo, NE (Nomination put in by family member)
About 5 years ago or so, part of the roof started to leak. Randy just had surgery and had to quit his regular job at a local construction company, so Wanda took over as the bread winner. After many battles with the state, they finally got some relief in a disability claim for Randy. They have friends that help with small jobs, but the worst issue is the roof. They have been asking the county and federal for grants etc., with no luck. Some offer about $1,000.00 to help, but the last bid to do work was more than that. When it rains they jump into action with buckets to try and keep dry. Please help by voting for them! Click on the photo to Vote!
Special Needs Son – Mark
Located in: Omaha, NE (Nomination put in by Ins. Agent)
Mark’s wife passed away about 2 years ago, so he can no longer work as he stays home with his special needs son. He has had some health problems over the years like a heart attack and stroke. He inherited the house from his Mom and the roof hasn’t been replaced in over 20 years. He will lose his insurance policy next year when the company leaves the state. I am his agent and I don’t know if I’ll be able to find him insurance mainly due to the roof. He could really use the help. Please consider helping him. I have known him for about 8 years and he’s a good person. Click on the photo to vote!
